Classes:

At the tail end of February, Arlene taught a class of 30+ (!) AP Seminar high school students in archival research in collaboration with Taylor Keister, the Humanities subject librarian. The students were working on research papers taking different perspectives on memory, nostalgia, and oral histories. A perfect archives tie-in!

Partnering with Jodi Jacques, subject librarian liaison, and Julie Ann Wrigley, a College of Business and Public Policy professor, Becky taught an introduction to archives session for a Real Estate Law class. They went behind the scenes of the Archives, learned the basics of archival research, and viewed historical documents relating to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act and tenant-landlord legislation.
