Due to renovations to our vault, the majority of our collections are currently inaccessible. Rare Books and selected archival collections will be available by appointment between September 2023 and March 2024, when we anticipate the work will be completed. Please contact us for more information.

Archives and Special Collections is part of the UAA/APU Consortium Library, serving members of the university community and the public. We collect, preserve, and make available for research records that document Alaska's past and present. You can keyword search through all of our collection guides using the search box above.

Current access hours:

Archives & Special Collections is currently closed for to in-person use of most of our collections, with the exception of appointments made in advance to look at materials requested to remain onsite. The Archives is scheduled to remain closed until March 2024. If you need to access our collections before then, please contact us for more information.
