Welcome!

Archives and Special Collections is part of the UAA/APU Consortium Library, serving members of the university community and the public. We collect, preserve, and make available for research records that document Alaska's past and present. You can keyword search through all of our collection guides using the search box above.

Current access hours:
The Consortium Library is currently closed to the public. We are working off-site most days but are still responding to research requests and will do what we can to accommodate your research needs.
Starting July 6: The Archives and Rare Books collections will be open by appointment. In order to protect archives staff and researchers during the COVID-19 pandemic:
Appointments will be up to three hours per day per person, Monday to Friday, between 10 am and 4 pm.
Please contact the Archives at least a week in advance of your proposed research visit for scheduling
Researchers will be required to bring and to wear masks or face shields while in the Archives space and to wash their hands before working with materials. The Archives is unable to supply masks
Researchers needing accessibility accommodations should consult with the archivists when making the appointment
Parking: On Monday through Thursday a permit is required. Additional parking details are available on the Consortium Library's website
For more information about our cleaning and protective practices, please see our COVID procedures document
