Archives and Special Collections is part of the UAA/APU Consortium Library, serving members of the university community and the public. We collect, preserve, and make available for research records that document Alaska's past and present. You can keyword search through all of our collection guides using the search box above.

Upcoming Closures:
The Archives will be closed for the winter holiday on Thursday, December 24, reopening on Monday, January 4.
On-site appointments will not be available from Tuesday 12/22 to Tuesday 1/5.

Current access hours:
We are working off-site most days but are still responding to research requests and will do what we can to accommodate your research needs including on-site appointments, videoconferencing, telephone, and email consultation.
The Archives and Rare Books collections are open by appointment. In order to protect archives staff and researchers during the COVID-19 pandemic:
Appointments will be up to three hours per day per person, Monday to Friday, between 10 am and 4 pm.
Please contact the Archives at least a week in advance of your proposed research visit for scheduling.
