University records
We hold records specific to the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), its predecessor organizations such as the Anchorage Senior College, Anchorage Community College (ACC), and the Alaska Pacific University (APU), formerly known as the Alaska Methodist University (AMU). Not all UAA, ACC, or APU records are available at the Archives. The Archives holds only the permanent records that have been transferred to Archives from the creating office or office of record. Many university records, especially current records, are still in the custody of university offices. If you need assistance finding the location of UAA or APU records, please contact us and we will try to assist you.
If you are seeking general University of Alaska records, the Archives at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is the legal and official archives for the University of Alaska Board of Regents, the University of Alaska Fairbanks (which was the University of Alaska until the 1970s) and the University of Alaska System offices.
If you’re interested in seeing a sample of our photographs relating to UAA and ACC, be sure to check out Alaska’s Digital Archives our online database of images selected from our collections.
