Press Releases from the UAA Office of Public Affairs, 1971-1980. These press releases existed only in microfiche format (33 fiche pages) in our holdings. We don’t have a microfiche reader in the department. The Library’s Access Services department was kind enough to scan them all on the Interlibrary Loan microfilm/fiche scanner for us. All 1,067 press releases, many with multiple pages. With the upcoming 50th anniversary of the creation of the Consortium Library next spring, we were pretty sure we were going to want to look through these! So it’s nice to have them fully digitized and keyword searchable. They are not currently online. They don’t fit the selection criteria for inclusion in the Alaska’s Digital Archives and we do not, as of yet, have an electronic repository with capacity to hold e-records for online access. Please contact us if you’d like access to these press releases.
