Exact dates for some changes in office name and office functions are unknown. In 1971 the office was External Affairs and by 1973 was known as External Services. By 1974 it was the Office of Publications and Information and in June of 1976 became the Office of Public Affairs. In January 1988 the name was changed to Institutional Advancement and in April of that year the name again changed to University Relations.

University Relations served as the public relations unit for the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Series description:
The series consists of documents relating to UAA personnel traveling to Siberia, hosting Russian representatives in Alaska, and information exchanges.
