Administrative history:
Exact dates for some changes in office name and office functions are unknown. In 1971 the office was External Affairs and by 1973 was known as External Services. By 1974 it was the Office of Publications and Information and in June of 1976 became the Office of Public Affairs. In January 1988 the name was changed to Institutional Advancement and in April of that year the name again changed to University Relations.

University Relations served as the public relations unit for the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Series description:
This series consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence, primarily from the director of the office. Topics include public relations, outreach, internal university policies, and a variety of other topics pertinent to the mission of the office.
Arrangement: This series is in chronological groupings by type of correspondence.
