Series description:
The reorganization was more commonly known as the “merger” between the Anchorage Community College and the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Due to a state fiscal crisis, over the course of 1986 and 1987 UA,A, ACC, and elements of the Community Colleges and Rural Education Extension (CCREE) were brought under a single administrative structure known as the University of Alaska Anchorage. These documents reflect the materials created and maintained by the UAA Chancellor’s Office in regard to the merger. The series also includes the records of the Institutional Restructuring Advisory Committee (IRAC).
