Administrative history:
The Citizens’ Advisory Committee was founded in about 1970. In 1989 the name was changed to the University Council. In 1993 it was named the Citizens’ Advisory Council.

The committee served as an advisory and advocacy group for the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Series description:
The series consists of records pertaining to the work of the committee. These include bylaws, rosters, meeting minutes and agendas, correspondence, and subcommittee records.
Arrangement: The records are grouped by type of record, generally chronologically within.
