Administrative history:
The Adult Education masters program first began as a program at the University of Alaska, Anchorage (UA,A.) When UA,A and surrounding community colleges merged into the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), the College of Education chose to place the adult education program in inactive status. In 1990, faculty members of UAA formulated a new adult education program that was approved by Provost Beeton and reinstated in July 1991. In 2004, Adult Education was integrated into the Department of Educational Leadership in UAA’s College of Education. Notable scholars in Adult Education field were invited to teach at UAA over the summer semesters.

Series description:
The collection contains the 2004 M.Ed. in Adult Education Review (which includes self-studies from 1993, 1998, 2004), visiting summer instructors files (1990-2008) that include an informative display featuring every visiting summer instructor. In addition, the series includes program development files (1990-2003) that track the goals and development of the program.
