Biographical note:
Daphne Milbank White was born in 1927 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She volunteered for Operation Statehood and helped draft a model Alaska Constitution prior to the constitutional convention election. She was later involved in the League of Women Voters in Anchorage and the Alaska World Affairs Council. She left Alaska in 1967 and died in 2007.

Collection description:
The collection consists of the draft constitution with notes, two copies of the completed Constitution, the Alaska Newsletter (vol 1., issues 1-43, a program for the opening ceremony of the Alaska Constitutional Convention (Nov. 8, 1955), the Alaskan Quarterly (spring 1957), various newspaper articles, notes, brochures, posters, and two letters written to Daphne White in 1955: from Evangeline Atwood and from Barrie M. White, Sr.

Arrangement: The collection was retained in the order in which it arrived at the Archives.
