The Bureau of Management and Urban Affairs was established at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, within the School of Business and Public Affairs in 1975. The Bureau was dissolved in 1984.
Agency functions:
The Bureau’s objectives were to develop training, technical assistance, and research programs needed by the community to improve the level of managerial, executive, and professional performance. The Bureau also helped to provide non-traditional teaching programs, technical assistance, and consulting programs in both the public and private sector.
Series description:
The collection consists of the general files of the Bureau of Management and Urban Affairs and includes: the initial program proposal; general correspondence; budgeting information; proposals; annual program reports; and proposed studies.
