In June 1976 the Office of Publications and Information became the Office of Public Affairs. It had three divisions at that time: information services, publication services, and promotion services.

The Office of Public Affairs served as the public relations unit for the University of Alaska, Anchorage.

Series description:
This series consists of the staff handbook for the Office of Public Affairs. Originally kept in a binder format, some original elements of the handbook may have been updated during the period in which it was used. Elements of the handbook include university organizational charts and policies, departmental policies and position descriptions, and some administrative forms.

Arrangement: The manual was maintained in the order in which it arrived at the Archives.
