In June 1976 the Office of Publications and Information became the Office of Public Affairs. It had three divisions at that time: information services, publication services, and promotion services.

The Office of Public Affairs served as the public relations unit for the University of Alaska, Anchorage.
Series description:
The publication began as the UAA Morning Memo in 1974. In February 1978 the name was changed to the UAA-ACC Morning Memo. The Memos contain a variety of announcements of interest to university employees. They include administrative policies and procedures, events on campus, departmental announcements, personnel announcements, menus for food service on campus, and other events. Initially published daily on weekdays, starting in December 1976 the Memo was published generally twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.
