Administrative history:
KRUA is the student-run radio station of the University of Alaska Anchorage. The station broadcasts news, music, and public service announcements, while providing student workers and volunteers with broadcasting experience. Dominant Egg was a radio show that aired on KRUA between 1994 and 1995. The show was hosted by Kim Curtis and Molly Davenport and featured music by female artists, as well as conversation between the hosts.
Agency functions:
KRUA plays edgy, up-and-coming music aimed at college students. The station also gives University of Alaska Anchorage students the opportunity to gain experience in radio broadcasting through staff and volunteer positions.
Series description:
The series consists of 19 audiocassettes containing episodes of Dominant Egg recorded between March 7, 1994 and August 22, 1995. The recordings consist of music by female musicians, as well as conversation between the hosts.
Arrangement: The tapes are arranged in chronological order, with undated tapes placed at the end.
