Prior to being given access to Rare Books in Archives & Special Collections (A&SC), researchers will sign a form agreeing to the following policies and procedures:
- Rare books and theses in Special Collections are not available for loan
- Take care in the use of rare books: do not fold, mark or attach other materials to the rare books or theses
- Special Collections employees will retrieve and reshelve rare books for researchers
- Copying of rare books and theses will be done at the discretion of the Special Collections staff
- Many rare books and theses may be under copyright protection. Researchers should familiarize themselves with the law and university policy regarding this matter
