Biographical note:
Randall Renner was a mountain climber and member of the Mountianeering Club of Alaska and the Alaska Mountain Rescue Group. He participated in the AMRG search for Dr. Grace Hoeman and Hans van der Laan.
Collection description:
The collection contains 21 black-and-white negatives and proof sheets depicting the April 1971 Alaska Mountain Rescue Group search for Dr. Grace Hoeman and Hans van der Laan in an avalanche on Eklutna Glacier. Items depicted include people hiking on snow and using avalanche probes and a helicopter landing in a valley.
