Biographical note:
Charles Parson was a New Hampshire resident who came to Alaska to find gold. He and the other men in his company prospected for gold along the Koyukuk River. He returned to New Hampshire in 1899.

Collection description:
The collection consists of the daily journal of Charles Parson from January 1 to July 31, 1899. In it he documents the weather, his activities and the activities of the people with him.

Arrangement: The journal’s entries are in chronological order.
