Organizational history:
Rabbit Creek Community Council is a civic organization that facilitates participation in local affairs by residents of the Rabbit Creek area, located in South Anchorage. The organization’s bylaws were ratified in 1988. Membership in the council is open to residents over 18, as well as representatives of businesses and organizations located within the boundaries of the Rabbit Creek neighborhood.

Collection description:
The collection consists of newsletters dating from 1990, 1992, and 2000-2009, as well as meeting minutes and agendas dating from 2000-2015.

Custodial history: Prior to coming to the Archives, the records were in the possession of former Rabbit Creek Community Council board member Dianne Gudgel-Holmes.

Acquisition note: The collection was deposited in the Archives by the Rabbit Creek Community Council and a formal deposit agreement was signed by council president, Adam Lees, in 2017.
