Biographical note:
Gene Krisher was born in 1931 in Michigan, and Phyllis Krisher (née Castle) was born in Vermont in 1930. Gene and Phyllis married in 1950, and moved to Brattleboro, Vermont in 1952. In 2001, the couple took a cruise to Alaska. Gene and Phyllis Krisher both died in 2017.

Collection description:
The collection contains photographs, receipts, maps, and pamphlets from a cruise the Krishers took to British Columbia and Alaska. Subjects of the photographs include buildings, scenery, and totem poles in Vancouver; the cruise ship Regal Princess and ship passengers; scenery and the Alaska Railroad in Skagway; buildings in Whitehorse; dredges and buildings in Dawson City; the Alaska Highway; the Trans-Alaska Pipeline in Tok; Susan Butcher’s training camp; Fairbanks; Chena; Denali National Park; and Portage Lake and Portage Glacier. Other material in the collection includes cruise ship information, receipts from the cruise, information for tours in Alaska and Canada, travel tickets, single day membership cards for Diamond Tooth Gerties Gambling Hall in Dawson City, and a certificate for reaching the end of the Alaska Highway in Delta Junction.

Arrangement: The collection is arranged in the order in which it arrived at Archives and Special Collections.
