Organizational history:
The Cordova District Fishermen United (CDFU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and perpetuating fisheries. In 1989, as a result of the Exxon Valdez oil spill, many of the fishermen in the area took part in post-spill clean-up efforts.

Collection description:
The collection consists of records created and gathered by CDFU in relation to the Exxon Valdez oil spill and the lawsuit that followed. The collection includes press releases, shoreline reports, manuals, correspondence, photographs, and maps.

Arrangement: The materials were arranged by staff of CDFU. The Archives retained the records in the order received.
