Biographical note:
Nancy Simmerman moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1959. She lived in both McCarthy and Girdwood during her years as a professional photographer in Alaska and photographed statewide.

Collection description:
This collection consists of photographs taken by Nancy Simmerman during her time living in Alaska.

Arrangement: The collection is currently grouped by photograph type: slides, negatives and contact prints. Some are in numerical order by photograph number.

Digitized copies: Some images from the collection have been digitized and placed online in Alaska’s Digital Archives. Digital copies of other collection material not available online. For information about obtaining digital copies, please contact Archives and Special Collections.
