Biographical note:
In 1943, George Hardy worked for Dowell Construction Company as a member of the crew constructing the Alaska Highway from Watson Lake to the Alaska-Yukon border.

Collection description:
This photograph album contains snapshot photos taken or collected by George Hardy during his work constructing the Alaska Highway for Dowell Construction Company in 1943.  The images depict road construction between Watson Lake and Whitehorse, construction equipment and encampments, and other crew members, as well as views of rivers, wildlife, the town of Whitehorse, trappers and trapping, Natives, and landscapes in Northern Saskatchewan and the Yukon.
