Biographical note:
Howard Culbertson and his wife were from Zanesville, Ohio. In 1967 the couple made an extensive tour of Canada and Alaska.

Collection description:
The collection consists of the tourist post card scrapbook of the Culbertson family. The album contains: photographic postcards, tourist photographs, art postcards, travel brochures, maps, program, and other memorabilia. Subjects of the photos include: people, cities, buildings, boats, ships, wildlife, and scenery. Canadian locations include: Nova Scotia, Cape Breton Island, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Quebec City, Ottawa, Montreal and Expo67, St. Lawrence Seaway, Niagara Falls, Sault St. Marie Locks, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Waterton Lakes National Park, Banff National Park, Yoho National Park, Banff Jasper Highway, Jasper National Park, Victoria, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Dawson and Whitehorse. Alaska locations include: Inside Passage with Alaska State Ferries M.V. Matanuska, Taku and Bartlett, Ketchikan, Richardson Highway, Alaska Highway, Haines and Chilkat Dancers, North Pole, Fairbanks, Anchorage, Matanuska Glacier, Portage Glacier, Matanuska Valley, Mt. McKinley National Park, Brooks Range, King Island, Juneau, Mendenhall Glacier, Glacier Bay, Valdez and Columbia Glacier. Ohio locations include Lake Hope State Park and Ohio University.

Arrangement: The contents of the scrapbook are in geographic order as the Culbertsons traveled across Canada into Alaska.
