Biographical note:
Allen D. Raney was a first lieutenant in Company I of the 364th Infantry Regiment. He was stationed at Adak Army Airfield in the Aleutian Islands in 1944.

Collection description:
This collection consists of 18 letters, 19 envelopes and one black and white photograph. The letters were written by Allen Raney to Mrs. Bette Ferguson. Most of the letters concern personal matters, their friendship, and mutual friends. The photograph is of Allen Raney standing in front of a Quonset hut at Adak.

Arrangement: The letters are arranged chronologically.
