Collection description:
This collection consists of 148 photographs collected by the McKeown family.  The images depict people, buildings, towns, sled dog teams, ships, animals, and scenery.  Locations include Anchorage, Chitina, Cordova, Donnelly, Fairbanks, Fish Egg (Craig), Ft. Gibbon, Ft. Liscum, Gulkana, Holy Cross, Juneau, Prince Rupert, Portage Bay, Rapids, Ruby, St. Michael, Seward, Skagway, Tonisna, Wortmanns, Unalaska, Valdez, and Thompson’s Pass.  Ships include the S.S. Alaska, S.S. Edith, Henry H. Field, S.S. Mariposa, S.S. Olympia, S.S. Northwestern, and the revenue cutter Ungala.
