The conferences consisted of workshops on topics related to sustainability, such as renewable energy, environmentally friendly building, and sustainable agriculture, with an Alaskan focus. The Bioneers in Alaska and their conferences were sponsored by Green Star, an environmental nonprofit in Anchorage, which is now part of the Alaska Forum on the Environment.
