Biographical note:
Mable Crawford (née Howard) was a long time Alaska resident. Crawford was born in 1905 in Seattle, Washington and moved to Alaska in 1938. She served on the Chugach Electric Association from 1952-1957 and the Anchorage Borough Assembly from 1963-1965. Along with her husband, Ellis Crawford, she developed the Terrace on the Lake subdivision and owned the Terrace on the Lake Water Company in Sand Lake. Mrs. Crawford also served on the local board of the American Cancer Society. When she died in 1978 she left the bulk of her estate to the University of Alaska Foundation.

Collection description:
This collection includes correspondence, photographs and postcards, and awards and certificates. A majority of the photographs were taken during WWII and are of airplanes and soldiers, however there are also family photographs.

Arrangement: The collection is arranged in the order it arrived at the Archives.
