Biographical note:
Jesse and John Warner, along with their friends Milburn and Ina, took a tour of Alaska and Western Canada in July 1974. Their group toured by ship, railroad, bus and airplane. The trip began in Portland, Oregon, and included stops in Western Washington, British Columbia, Southeast Alaska, Yukon Territory, and South Central, Interior and Northwest Alaska.

Collection description:
The collection consists of the slides of Jesse and John Warner from the summer of 1974. The slides contain corresponding typed lists of photograph descriptions. Most of the slides are also numbered with handwritten descriptions, primarily located on the reverse sides of the slides. Locations depicted in the slides include: Centralia and Port Angeles, Washington; Victoria, Butchart Gardens, Seymour Narrows, Saywood River, and Prince Rupert, British Columbia; Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Tok, North Pole, Fairbanks, Mount McKinley National Park, Anchorage, Alyeska Ski Resort, Nome and Kotzebue, Alaska; and Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. Other subjects include: the Inside Passage; the White Pass and Yukon Railway between Skagway and Whitehorse; the Alaska Highway between Whitehorse and Fairbanks; a sternwheeler Discovery riverboat tour from Fairbanks on the Chena and Tanana Rivers; construction scenes of a ski chalet at Alyeska Ski Resort; a King Island Dancers performance in Nome; and a blanket toss in Kotzebue.

Arrangement: The slides are arranged by original slide tray numbers created by the Warners.
