The 97th Ordnance Company was stationed at Adak, Alaska, in 1949. The company was commanded by Lt. H.E. Fornes.
Collection description:
The collection contains a black and white panoramic group photograph of the members of the 97th Ordnance Company, taken at Adak in April 1949. The photograph is of the company in dress uniform outside an aircraft hangar next to the airfield. The photograph was taken by a photographer, possibly E.O. Goldbeck, of the National Photo and News Service, San Antonio, Texas (Goldbeck Photo No. 4231949-3B). The size of the print is 10 by 31 inches.
