Biographical note:
Ralph and Selma Peterson lived in Ketchikan from 1952 to 1956. Selma Peterson may have provided day care services for local children.

Collection description:
The collection consists of the family photograph album of Ketchikan residents Ralph and Selma Peterson. The collection contains five pages in the front of the album with the names of 43 friends and acquaintances and photographs. Names of Ketchikan residents written in the front of the album are: Carol Joy Decker, Georgann Decker, Donna Kay Decker, Earl Chandler, Mrs. Earl C. Chandler, Clarence Cooper, Avis Cooper, Helga Suton Johnson, Evelyn Brown, David Brown, June Knutsen, Jina Nelson, Bill Nelson, Bill McHaig, and Jeanne McHaig. Subjects of the photographs include: Ralph and Selma Peterson with family and friends; the fishing boat, the Rolfe II; the S.S. Prince George (post card); the S.S. Baranof (at dock); the S.S. Prince Rupert (at dock); Alaska Steamship Company gangways and docks; fishermen and a salmon cannery; a Tlingit lodge; the 4th of July Parade in Ketchikan in 1954; the George Decker Family of Ketchikan; and Ketchikan area buildings, homes, and scenery.
