Biographical note:
Albert Weir worked for an independent contractor, Bond Contracting, located in Kenora, Ontario. Weir lived in Fort Frances, Ontario. He drove a truck along the ALCAN delivering freight and staying in different camps along the way.
Collection description:
The collection contains photographs, most taken by Albert Weir, while he drove a truck along the ALCAN. The photographs include people, camps, equipment, and scenery. Subjects of the photographs include the Muncho Pass Mountains, Dawson Creek, The Yukon Ivory Shop, Summit Lake, Liard River, Suicide Hill (named after a curve along the ALCAN), the Hyland River Ferry, a pack train, men in a sulphur spring, and the Sikanni and Trout Rivers.
Arrangement: The collection is arranged in the order it arrived to the Archives.
