Collection description:
The collection consists of the 1913 tourist photograph album of Edward M. Biddle. The album cover is embossed in gold lettering with the name Edward M. Biddle, and the title, “Glacier Park – Alaska, 1913.” Biddle traveled to Glacier National Park, as well as cities and town in Southeast Alaska. Subjects of the photographs taken at Glacier National Park include: Glacier Park Lodge, cabins, teepees, pack horses, campers, camp sites, native peoples, glaciers, waterfalls, lakes, rivers and mountains. Subjects of the photographs taken in Southeast Alaska include: Ketchikan, Sitka, and Skagway streets, ports, buildings and scenery; the Inside Passage; the White Pass and Yukon Route Railway; White Pass; and native peoples, totem poles, glaciers, and rivers.
