Organizational history:
Quota Club International was founded in 1919 as a service club for women. The Anchorage chapter was founded in 1952. The club engaged in projects supporting the hearing impaired, public health, and other community issues. The Anchorage chapter ceased operations in 2012.

Collection description:
The collection consists primarily of scrapbooks created to document the club’s activities. These include photographs, clippings, and event programs. The collection also includes files of early meeting minutes, annual reports, photographs, and history documents.

Arrangement: The collection is arranged by type of document, generally chronologically within.

Acquisition note: The Club records were given to the Archives in 2018 by Beth Izold, the secretary and treasurer of the Club at the time of its dissolution. An addition was made to the collection in 2023 by Beth Izold.

Processing information: This collection was described by Arlene Schmuland in 2018. The scrapbooks that were made up of magnetic photograph album pages were scanned and the contents removed from the pages and placed in photograph enclosures by Keelin Baughman. The 2023 addition was added to the description by Arlene Schmuland in 2023.
