John Wolfe joins archivist Becky Butler Gallegos to discuss the papers of his mother, Helen D. Nienhueser. Nienhueser previously worked as a Department of Natural Resources land use planner, advocated for trails and political issues, and authored 55 Ways to the Wilderness of Southcentral Alaska. The discussion covers Nienhueser’s activism and land use work, brief histories of popular Anchorage trails, and what the donation process at the the Archives looks like.
