We’re pausing our regularly scheduled Letters Live season to bring you an episode explaining oral histories, introducing our new Student Oral History Project, and providing an example of an oral history interview. Our summer intern, Rachel, hosts and is interviewed by Becky.
The UAA/APU Archives and Special Collections collects, preserves, and provides access to unpublished items that document the history of UAA, APU, and Alaska. As a student, YOU are a part of that! The purpose of this project is to document diverse student experiences on campus. We will record an interview about your experience on campus. These recordings and transcriptions will be preserved in our servers and made publicly available in our research room and (hopefully) online. Be a part of recorded history!
