Wednesday, October 5, is #AskAnArchivist Day over on Twitter. This is a national thing–October is Archives Month–so archivists all over the country will be watching extra hard on Twitter for any questions you might have. Several Alaskan archivists will be participating too, so if if you have any questions for Alaskan archives and archivists, especially, we’ll have reps from all over. Including us at the UAA/APU Consortium Library Archives and Special Collections (@CLArchives), the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center (@AnchorageMuseum), The Alaska and Polar Regions Collections and Archives at UAF (@uaflibrary) and the Alaska State Archives/Alaska State Library Historical Collections (@AKStateLibrary).
You’re welcome to aim questions at any of us specifically using our Twitter handles listed above, or if you want to aim it at any of the Alaskan archivists watching, go ahead and use the hash tag #akarchivists. We’ll be watching out for that on Weds, Oct. 5, too. Or just use #AskAnArchivist and you might get answers from all over the country!
For more information about #AskAnArchivist Day and what you might ask, there’s information up on the Society of American Archivists website with all the details.
Of course, you’re always welcome to ask us all questions on other days too. But you knew that, right?
