Dear readers of our blog,
We are inviting you – and anyone you know – to stop by our Open House at the Archives on Wednesday, October 6th from 4-6pm. October is Archives Month, and we’re celebrating by opening our doors to you, together with our neighbors, the Alaska Moving Image Preservation Association (AMIPA). All of us friendly archivists will be on hand to answer questions, show off some of our collections and our online resources, and take you on a tour through the Archives & Special Collections vault. And just for some extra enticement, desserts, coffee, and tea will be served! Come because you want to meet us, because you’ve always been curious about what an archives is, because you want to see some cool old stuff documenting Alaska history, come just because.
Wait, you don’t know where we’re located? Third floor of the UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 305. We’ll see you there.
Sincerely,
Arlene, Mariecris, Megan, Nicole & Kathy (in absentia)
